Description
On October 3, 1990, German unification reawakened the sleeping giant. Within twenty-two years, Germany rose to become the second largest exporter in the world and has taken over the reins of the European Union. With the Bundestag, lower house, approving a Greek bailout package, Europe clings to Germany for solutions to the Euro-zone crisis as China and the United States carefully wait for an opportunity to expand their trade in Europe.
