Disunited States of America

The United States has been officially disunited: 5 newly emerged states have taken control, from the Democratic People’s Republic of Pacifica to the Texan Empire. Tensions between the new nations have been high-strung, particularly with clashes over the no-man’s lands currently claimed by the Rocky Mountain State. As the heads of state of your respective governments, an official council has been convened to discuss and address these growing issues.

CRISIS DIRECTOR: WILL COPPOLA

Will Coppola is a sophomore at Seton Hall University majoring in Diplomacy and International Relations. His research interest includes the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and civil conflicts. He aspires to pursue a career in National Security

CHAIR: BENJAMIN BARRY

Enja is a junior majoring in diplomacy and international relations with a minor in Spanish, and this is his second year doing both SHUMUN and Model UN. He is also the International News Editor for the Diplomatic Envoy, the Secretary of the John Quincy Adams Society, a campus tour guide, and a part of several other diplomacy organizations. Apart from academics, he spends his free time playing JetPunk and Sporcle. Enja is excited to see what everybody does in committee!

VICE-CHAIR: HAILEY MORAN

Hailey Moran is a freshman from Rutherford, NJ, majoring in International Relations and Diplomacy with a minor in French, and is a part of the university’s Honors Program.This is her first year participating in Model UN and she is very excited to be vice chair. Good luck to the delegates!
