United Nations Security Council: Cold War – SPECIALIZED
The Historical Security Council immerses delegates in October 1962, when the discovery of Soviet nuclear missiles in Cuba brought the United States and the Soviet Union to the brink of nuclear war. Set during the most dangerous moment of the Cold War, this specialized committee challenges delegates to assume the roles of key political leaders, military officials, and advisors as they navigate rapidly escalating tensions, incomplete intelligence, and intense ideological rivalry. Through fast-paced decision-making, strategic negotiation, and crisis management under extreme pressure, delegates must determine whether diplomacy can avert catastrophe or whether miscalculation will plunge the world into nuclear conflict.
This committee will be run as a specialized committee.
