Dear Delegates and Faculty Advisors,

It is my distinct pleasure to welcome you to the Eleventh Annual Seton Hall University Model United Nations Conference, The past, present and future of diplomacy. This year, we have expanded our scope to provide delegates with the insight not only to understand the problems facing the world today, but also how we arrived to these problems, and the new challenges that await us in the near future. I know I speak for everyone involved with this year’s conference when I say that every effort has been made to make this years SHUMUN the most dynamic and intellectually challenging conference Seton Hall has ever hosted. During this year’s SHUMUN, each delegate will have the opportunity to not only delve into the challenges presented to them in the roles of ambassadors and ministers, but will also be granted the opportunity to improve their researching, networking and public speaking skills. SHUMUN XI will be held on March 20th and 21st 2010 on the campus of Seton Hall University. If you have any question or concerns, I and the entirety of the Secretariat are at your disposal, ready to help in any way that we can. Speaking for the entire staff, I look forward to seeing all of you in March.

Brendan P. Roache
Secretary-General
